Berry College Tournament in Rome Georgia (Oct. 26-28)
In the first half, the results were:
- Warren Rhea--2nd Extemporaneous Speaking, 4th Editorial Impromptu
- Idania Herrera--3rd Program Oral Interpretation
- Lauren Davidson--1st Place Program Oral Interpretation
In the second half the results were:
- Christina--6th Extemp
- Janet Ferguson--6th Impromptu, 5th Persuasion
- Lauren Davidson--6th Prose, 5th Program Oral Interpretation
- Warren Rhea--6th Persuasion, 5th Extemporaneous Speaking
Tennessee State University Individual Events Swing Tournament (Sept. 21-23)
First Half of the Swing:
- Tolu Bukola—5th place in Persuasive Speaking and 3rd place in Extemporaneous Speaking
- Sharmila Bhagwandeen---4th place in Persuasive Speaking
- Idania Herrera---7th place in Program Oral Interpretation
Second Half of the Swing:
- Idania Herrera---4th place in Program Oral Interpretation
- Janet Ferguson---6th in Impromptu Speaking
Florida Southern College Individual Events Tournament (Oct. 5-6)
- Lauren Davidson---2nd place in Program Oral Interpretation, 2nd place in Informative Speaking and 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation
- Brian Rush---1st place in Extemporaneous Speaking
University of Alabama Individual Events Swing Tournament (Oct. 12-14)
First Half of the Swing
- Lauren Davidson---5th place in Program Oral Interpretation
- Idania Herrera---6th place in Prose Interpretation
- Gary Winslett---6th place in Communication Analysis
Second Half of the Swing
Georgia State University Policy Debate Tournament (Sept. 21-23)
Amanda Kelly and Kyle Robisch beat the Miami Hurricanes in the final round of the Junior Varsity division Kyle Robisch received the 5th place speaker award and Amanda Kelly was recognized as the 2nd place speaker
Vanderbilt University Policy Debate Tournament (Oct. 19-21)
Blake Tanase and his hybrid partner from Wake Forest University won the Novice Division They went 5-1 in the prelims, and then proceeded to win their quarter and semi-final debates, and then beat University of Louisiana-Lafayette in the finals! Zack Ullman and Frank Farago went 4-2 in prelims then made it to the semi-final round in the Junior Varsity Division.
